466,100 m² Across 27 Halls — A World Record
Deutsche Messe Hannover operates the world's largest exhibition grounds with 466,100 m² of hall space and approximately 58,000 m² of outdoor grounds. Twenty-seven halls are available, including the spectacular EXPO Plaza with the Chancellor Pavilion from the 2000 World Exposition and the traditional Messegerichte halls. The sheer size of the grounds matters in planning: walking distances between Halls 2 and 27 reach nearly two kilometres. For larger exhibitors we therefore deploy team shuttles between catering zones and stands, and we systematically schedule early shifts with staggered start times.
Langenhagen Airport and S-Bahn Messe-Laatzen
Hanover-Langenhagen Airport is reachable via the S5 S-Bahn in roughly fifteen minutes from Hanover Central Station. The urban tramway lines 8 or 18 connect the central station directly to the exhibition grounds; during Hannover Messe, additional shuttle and relay buses operate. The ICE main station is superbly linked to the rest of Germany: Hamburg and Berlin are under two hours away, Frankfurt under three. Hotel clusters concentrate in the Südstadt, Kirchrode, and around the Eilenriede forest. During mega events with 200,000+ visitors we also rely on accommodation in Braunschweig, Hildesheim, and Wolfsburg.

One of Europe's densest B2B industry clusters has formed around Hanover: Continental (tyres, automotive technology), Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, TUI Group with its corporate headquarters, Sennheiser in Wedemark, and numerous mid-sized companies from mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and agricultural logistics. The exhibitor clientele is accordingly technical, often engineer-driven, and values staff capable of pronouncing technical terms correctly and explaining production processes.
